Road rage incident leads to assault charges
If you ride on the road, it's likely happened to you. A drive skims past you, horn blazing, or pulls alongside and begins to yell.
When it happened in California earlier this month, the cyclists waved down a passing Sherriff's deputy and the driver was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon, according to the Los Angeles Times. A fitting charge for a dangerous move.
Earl Clyde Cox, 48, was driving north near the Charlton Picnic Area at 9:45 a.m. on June 18 when a group of cyclists also traveling on the highway said he slowed down and yelled profanities out the window. Cyclists told authorities Cox also intentionally swerved his car in their direction.
